Auditions Open NowThe greatest casting call in the history of democracy

America’sGotPresident

American Idol found the voice of a generation. This format goes looking for something bigger: a president 63.3% of America actually agrees on — a supermajority no living American has ever seen. The audition is open to every eligible citizen. The stage is a White House-style mansion outside Washington. The judges are 340 million Americans. And the Oval is one seat of many — America’s Got Representatives is casting the nation-reform bench alongside it.

The Mission

No one has hit 63.3% in 206 years.

63.3%
The People’s Supermajority

In 1964, Lyndon Johnson won 61.05% of the popular vote — the highest share ever recorded in a contested American election. To beat it outright, you have to go back to James Monroe in 1820, when he ran essentially unopposed and America was 44 years old.

That means for 206 of America’s 250 years — 82% of this country’s existence — no presidential candidate has united even three in five Americans. Our target doesn’t just edge past the record. It clears it by more than two full points.

The mission isn’t to win an election. It’s to end the 50/50 war.

America’s Got President is a nationwide search for the one candidate who can shatter that record — not with a landslide of fear, but a landslide of agreement.

Historical popular-vote shares. The 1964 record — 61.05% — has stood for six decades. Monroe’s 1820 re-election (~81%) was effectively uncontested and predates modern popular voting. Bars scaled from 40%.

The Format

American Idol, rebuilt for the republic.

Five stages. Same DNA that turned open auditions into 100-million-vote television nights — pointed at the only job interview that matters.

01

The Open CallThe audition is a post.

Sixty seconds. Any platform. #AmericasGotPresident. Answer one question: what would you fix first, and how? No party machine, no donors, no teleprompter — the scouts are the algorithm and 340 million feeds. A nationwide search through social media, open to every citizen the Constitution allows.

★ Idol DNA

The open audition — "Idol Across America" ran virtual tryouts from every state. The same open door that turned a Texas cocktail waitress into Kelly Clarkson can turn a Toledo nurse into a head of state.

02

The Golden TicketThe knock on the door.

Scouts, citizen panels, and open voting surface the top auditioners in every state. The best get the invitation America will learn to watch for: a golden ticket — not to Hollywood, but to a White House-style mansion just outside Washington, DC.

★ Idol DNA

Idol’s golden ticket sent singers to Hollywood Week. Ours sends candidates to the doorstep of the job itself.

03

The People’s HouseThe presidency, stress-tested on camera.

Candidates live together and govern together. 3 a.m. crisis simulations in a replica Situation Room. Policy sprints scored by experts and everyday citizens. Town halls with the angriest county in America. Coalition challenges where the only way to advance is winning over people who came in against you.

★ Idol DNA

Hollywood Week — the crucible. Group rounds, brutal cuts, character revealed under pressure. Except here the pressure is the actual job.

04

America VotesLive shows. Real stakes. One vote each.

Weekly live broadcasts, weekly eliminations. One citizen, one verified vote — no power-voting, no bots. A Citizens’ Panel of 100 Americans, drawn by lottery like a jury, sits where the celebrity judges used to — and holds one save per season: the Liberty Buzzer.

★ Idol DNA

Phone, text, app, social — Idol taught America to vote on Tuesday nights and counted votes by the tens of millions. We keep the ritual, upgrade the rails.

05

The MandateThe finale is a launch, not a coronation.

The last citizen standing leaves as The People’s Candidate — on the 2028 ballot with a movement behind them, a season of governing already on tape, and one number to beat: 63.3%. And they don’t run alone: on January 11, 2028, every other campaign falls in behind the top two — one President, one Vice President, zero vote-splitting.

★ New DNA

Idol ends with a record deal. This ends with a record — the largest mandate in the history of contested American elections.

The Venue

The People’s House

A White House-style mansion outside Washington, DC — close enough to see the real one from the roof. Every room is a test. Every test is on camera.

🏛️

The Replica Oval

Auditions and one-on-ones filmed behind a Resolute-style desk. Some people grow an inch when they sit down. Some shrink. America sees both.

🚨

The Situation Room

Unscheduled, 3 a.m., fully staffed crisis simulations — cyberattacks, hurricanes, standoffs — run by former officials who’ve handled the real thing.

🪧

The Front Porch

Open-door town halls with real Americans, bussed in from the counties that agree with each candidate least. You don’t advance by dodging.

The Second Casting Call

America’s Got Representatives

The goal of this entire process is to elect the next American president. But the Oval is one seat, and nation reform takes a bench. Alongside the presidential search, we’re casting America’s Got Representatives — for everyone who wants to work on nation reform.

Congress & Statehouses
Governors & Mayors
Cabinet-Track Operators
Civic-Tech Builders

Audition strong and you stay cast. Finalists who don’t take the presidency get drafted into the races and roles where they’ll do the most good — one movement, thousands of seats, a government’s worth of talent found the same way we find the ticket.

The Civic Engine

More than a vote count.

Idol’s phone lines could take a hundred million votes in a night. Our stack has a harder job: helping America hear itself think.

One Citizen, One Vote

Verified civic identity. No power-voting ten times per method, no bot farms. Every weekly tally runs on publicly auditable rails — raw counts, open methodology, third-party audits.

Verified · Auditable · Open

The Consensus Map

Live opinion mapping shows where America already agrees — the 70%+ common ground buried under the shouting. Candidates campaign on it, because the scoreboard finally rewards it.

Collective Sensemaking

The Bridge Score

You advance by persuading people who started against you — the same bridging math behind Community Notes. Outrage doesn’t score. Agreement across divides does.

Bridging > Engagement

Practice Democracy

Every weekly vote is a rep. Deliberate, compare, decide, vote — season after season, until participating is a habit. By November 2028, election night is just the finale of a show America’s been starring in all along.

Participation as Spectacle
The Stakes

Exponential futures need supermajority presidents.

AI, energy, biotech, space — the next ten years will compound harder than the last hundred. A 50.9% president governs half a country and fights the other half. A 63.3% president governs a future. Consensus isn’t nostalgia; it’s throughput.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers.

Yes. The Constitution sets exactly three requirements for the job: 35 or older, natural-born citizen, 14 years’ residency. Article II is our entire casting sheet. Parties, primaries, and consultants are traditions — not laws. A candidate with a national movement and a season of tested leadership on tape is a legitimate contender by every rule that actually exists.

Attention is the scarcest resource in a democracy, and right now almost none of it goes to discovering leaders — only to fighting over the two we’re handed. Idol proved the format can hold a hundred million people’s attention and get them to vote, week after week. We’re pointing that machine at the most consequential casting decision on Earth. If it takes a show to make citizenship a habit, we’ll make a great show.

You. Every verified citizen gets one vote, every week. A rotating Citizens’ Panel — 100 Americans drawn by lottery, like a jury — leads questioning at the House and holds one save per season. There are no celebrity judges, because there’s no celebrity qualified to overrule the country.

Candidates can come from any party or none. The format doesn’t care how you’re registered — it cares whether you can win over a room that walked in against you. A 63.3% mandate is mathematically impossible without crossing the aisle, so the show selects for exactly that.

No — that’s what January 11, 2028 is for. Every auditioner signs the Fall-In Pledge: when the standings lock on 1/11/28, every campaign outside the top two suspends and endorses the ticket — #1 for President, #2 for Vice President. A hundred campaigns become one, and everyone else joins the bench. Read the Fall-In →

One verified vote per citizen, publicly auditable tallies, open methodology, and bridging-based scoring that makes outrage-farming worthless — you only gain by persuading people unlike your base. Every round’s raw data is published for independent audit. It’s harder to rig than the comment section it replaces.

Eligibility is the Constitution’s, not ours: 35+, natural-born citizen, 14 years’ residency to serve. If Article II says you can serve, this stage says you can audition. Auditions are open now — and if the presidency isn’t your seat, the reform bench is casting too.
